Perfect attendance award – the day after Marina came back to school from our trip. Funny timing. We had just kept her out of school for 2 extra days on the end of our vacation. The award appears to have been arranged just before the break!

Eclipse!

On a cloudy, overcast day, we had very low expectations. A few minutes into the eclipse, the clouds parted, and the sun shone brightly. We enjoyed a spectacular show! Totality = wow!!

Burlington, Ontario

A piece of our trip we hadn’t planned on turned out to be the best decision we could have made for viewing the solar eclipse.

Niagara Falls

We spent a nice day here, then woke up very early on the eclipse morning to find a less crowded viewing spot. We lucked out about an hour north at a park right on the shore of Lake Ontario!
